Guiseley Art Club members go dotty ahead of autumn exhibition.

Members of Guiseley Art club have been getting creative with dots as they prepare for their annual exhibition this autumn.

The artistic challenge was inspired by club secretary Lindsay Marsden, who led an in-house workshop exploring the use of dots in both traditional Australian Aboriginal art and the work of French Impressionist painters.

Club members went on to create a colourful and varied collection of their own dot-inspired paintings, many of which will be on display at the forthcoming exhibition.

Janis Halliwell, a club official, was full of praise for the results.

She said: “The results are amazing and truly worthy of a place on someone’s wall. I’m well impressed.”

Visitors will have the chance to judge for themselves when the club's exhibition opens at Guiseley Methodist Church Hall on October 24 and 25.

The exhibition will showcase a range of artwork created by members and offers an opportunity for local residents and art enthusiasts to see the club's latest work.

Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to attend.
