It was the most amazing day with over one thousand people having a ball on Town Street. Brass bands, choir, dancers and loads of stalls. Our stall pulled in the crowds with Julies brilliant button picture of the queen. It helped to raise over one hundred pounds in donations for St Gemma's Hospice. Helpers on the day were Mary, Julie,Trevor and my good self Carol. I was so grateful for their help and my daughter Kirsty and her husband Dave for helping me get set up and put away. I have only just recovered from what was a tiring but very satisfying day. Hopefully we will have helped to recruit some new members to our club. Mary and I made sure we handed out as many leaflets as possible.
